Directory of Asia-Pacific female researchers launched

Stem directory from Australian Academy of Science brings together expertise and opportunities

The Australian Academy of Science hopes to boost female participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics across the Asia-Pacific with the launch of a women-only directory of research skills and opportunities.

The Stem Women Asia directory launched on 30 September with an initial group of 293 women from 30 countries. It is searchable by field of knowledge, country of residence and the kind of work for which the researcher is available. Any qualified women can sign up to the directory, which extends from Australia and New Zealand across China, Japan and Vietnam to countries such as Turkey, Israel and Jordan.
