Australia takes ‘deeper engagement’ agenda to COP27

                   

Leaders promise local climate change meeting as early as 2023, with backing from Pacific nations

Australia is planning “deeper engagement” with the global climate change response process, and may even host the United Nations climate Conference of the Parties (COP) meeting in 2024, research leaders have said.

This year’s COP, an annual meeting organised by the United Nations to tackle climate change, opened yesterday in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
