Wind farm report finds no effects on human health

The National Health and Medical Research Council is calling for public comment on a draft information paper assessing potential health impacts of wind farms.

The NHMRC’s chief executive Warwick Anderson says the draft paper provides a summary of available scientific evidence. It concludes that “there is no reliable or consistent evidence that wind farms directly caused adverse health effects in humans.”

The draft report is based on the findings of an independent literature review commissioned by the NHMRC.
