Heads of final two growth centres named

Federal industry and science minister Ian Macfarlane has appointed engineer Bronwyn Evans to lead the government’s new Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals Industry Growth Centre.

Evans is the chief executive of Standards Australia, a non-government organisation that advocates for design specifications and procedures for products, services and systems.

Macfarlane has also appointed exploration geophysicist Reg Nelson as chairman of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Growth Centre.
