Cybercrime course ‘by industry, for industry’

La Trobe University in Melbourne has developed a postgraduate course to train computer science, business and law graduates to detect, prevent and prosecute cybercrime in Australian businesses.

The university has worked with leading telecommunications and computer companies, as well as government agencies, to design a Masters of Cybersecurity that will give graduates the skills and experience to work with industry.

Companies involved in designing the course include Optus, Hewlett Packard, Australia Post and Cisco.
