SCU to host ‘green farming’ research unit

The New South Wales government will contribute $2 million to fund an organic farming research centre at Southern Cross University in Lismore.

The university will work with scientists from the NSW Department of Primary Industries across a range of areas that will include soil health, food safety and identifying export markets.

The initiative was announced on 8 December by SCU vice-chancellor Adam Shoemaker and DPI chief scientist, Phil Wright.
