USQ prison teaching project wins top prize

The University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba has won a national higher education award for a programme that helps prisoners improve their digital literacy skills.

The programme, Connecting4Success, was developed and led by USQ digital futures professor Helen Farley.

It won an award for “programmes that enhance learning” at the 2016 Australian Awards for University Teaching, held in Canberra on 1 December.
