Kinnane bequest supports UQ music and arts

The University of Queensland has received an $8 million bequest to support art and music programmes across the state.

The gift is from the estate of Tony and Paula Kinnane, a retired Brisbane business couple, who lived close to UQ’s St Lucia campus and regularly attended concerts and art exhibitions.

UQ vice-chancellor Peter Høj said the gift will be used to create endowment funds for the university’s music faculty and art museum.
