More fraud charges for suspended chief scientist

The former Queensland chief scientist Suzanne Miller has been charged with 31 additional fraud offences and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court in January 2018.

Miller was suspended for the role in July following an investigation into a private health insurance claim for $45,000. She was subsequently charged with fraud by the state’s Crime and Corruption Commission.

The additional charges concern the misuse of a Queensland government department corporate credit card to buy personal items worth more than $30,000.
