Deakin smart sports helmet could be Tour de France winner

Smart helmet design reduces fatigue and heat stress for road race cyclists

A bicycle sports helmet that automatically adjusts ventilation in response to changing road conditions during competitive racing has been designed by a research engineer at Deakin University in regional Victoria.

The helmet is equipped with digital wireless technology that connects to sensors and computers that are built into high performance racing bikes.
