French artist’s legacy to fund ‘bold ideas that make a difference’

Donors aim to reduce inequalities and support vulnerable communities through Ferrer research fund at Wollongong

The family of late French artist and musician Olivier Ferrer has donated funds to support climate and social justice research at the University of Wollongong in regional New South Wales.

Applications for the Olivier Ferrer Fund will open in March 2020. It will provide grants for “impactful global research in the areas of climate action, inequality and injustice and the politics of refugee and migrant movements in an era of populist nationalism”.
