CSU sponsors gender diversity celebrations in rural town

University wants to send ‘a clear message’ that it is an inclusive and welcoming organisation

Charles Sturt University has announced that it will continue to be a major sponsor of the Wagga Wagga Mardi Gras, a rural LGBTIQA+ event in the Riverina farming region of southern New South Wales.

Although this year’s event has been cancelled due to concerns about the coronavirus, the university will fly the rainbow flag on campus and work with the event’s organisers to promote acceptance of gender diversity.
