Women ‘still face bias in academic research and teaching careers’

  

Researchers present ways of approaching assessments, course materials and case studies to support equality

The University of South Australia has developed a programme to raise awareness of “a range of biases” that continue to affect women in research and teaching roles at universities.

Jill Gould, a researcher with the centre for workplace excellence at the university’s Adelaide campus, says the programme aims to raise awareness of unconscious bias and its impacts on women.
