Agriculture R&D benefits from farmers’ use of digital technologies, says CRC head

Data collection by Australia’s farmers is changing the way agriculture R&D projects are designed and is influencing research that affects food supply chains, a leading scientist has told a global conference.

David Lamb, chief scientist with the Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre, said digital technologies such as satellite data drones had helped farmers develop precision agriculture management systems.
