Australia's National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) has signed a three-year research deal with Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), it was announced on 6 September.
The deal is intended to promote exchanges between the two countries and health and medical research. A total of AU$4.5 million will be used to support joint grant calls for research teams in both countries in areas such as emerging infectious diseases, regenerative medicine, non-communicable diseases, bioinformatics and nanotechnology.
