CISRO, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, has signed a five-year deal for an $AU25 million strategic research programme with aerospace company Boeing.
The agreement will focus on space science innovation, advanced materials, energy and direct manufacturing. The government announced the agreement on 30 March, saying it will impel economy improvements and productivity.
The deal is an extension to 23 years’ collaboration. During this time, the partners have jointly invested about AU$110m across projects, including sustainable aviation fuel technology and aircraft assembly processes.
