UK Space Agency CEO heads for CSIRO

David Williams, CEO of the UK Space Agency and chairman of the European Space Agency, is to head the information sciences group at the the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Australia’s national science agency.

The group brings together research in astronomical and space sciences, digital productivity and services, information and communication technologies and mathematical and statistical sciences. It has a budget of more than AU$120 million and employs about 1,200 staff.

Williams will take up his post in Sydney in November, CSIRO announced on 3 August.
