The Turnbull government has appointed one of Australia’s most experienced global cybersecurity strategists, Craig Davies, to head a $32 million national cyberintelligence research centre.
Davies is the former head of security for Australian software development company Atlassian and has worked for more than 20 years in developing online security systems.
At the Sydney-based company, Davies was responsible for overseeing and coordinating online security for more than 1,100 staff in eight locations across the world, and more than 50,000 customers.
