Monitoring of drug strategy not good enough, say auditors

Information lacking on implementation and progress of national plan to tackle addiction

The federal government has failed to track the performance of its strategy to tackle the health and social impacts of increased crystal methamphetamine addiction in Australia, the auditor-general’s office has found.

The four-year National Ice Action Strategy was launched in 2016 with federal funding of around $313 million over four years.
