Australia unveils 100-strong cohort of ‘future fellows’

ARC funding scheme announces winners across wide range of disciplines, with 14.5% success rate

Australia’s federal government has invested $90.5 million in 100 of the country’s top researchers to fund work ranging from fighting droughts to renewable energy storage over the next four years.

The Australian Research Council’s Future Fellowships for 2020 will support researchers in expanding Australia’s knowledge base and research capacity, the government said on 29 July.
