Horizon 2020 has inspired the funding agency's AU$100m research spending programme for recovery
Australia’s national science agency has said it will take a “big picture” approach to science funding, inspired by the focus that made the moon landings a success.
The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation is to spend $100 million a year on research, through a mission-led programme launched on 12 August. The programme is aimed at tackling some of Australia’s biggest national priorities, including farming, environmental protection and health.
