Australian Research Council releases A$179 million in a week

The second round of Australian Research Council grants released within a week has taken researchers by surprise.

On 16 September, the ARC released the names of 200 researchers who will receive a total of A$85 million in funding through the Discovery Early Career Researcher Awards (Decra). Many researchers first heard the news via social media.
