Survey and national working group created to determine how current practices shape output and impact
Australia’s chief scientist, Cathy Foley, is investigating the country’s research assessment system to better understand how it shapes diversity, outputs and impacts.
Foley has asked the Australian Council of Learned Academies (Acola) and the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia to assist her with the task. She has also set up a national working group on the issue and commissioned a survey on research assessment through Acola.
