National grants programme achieves threefold return on research investments, report says
The Australian Research Council has said that its work is vindicated by a report showing a A$3.32 return on every dollar spent on research funding.
The impact assessment report from the consultancy ACIL Allen found that research funded through the ARC from 2002 to 2021 would contribute A$184 billion to the economy and create almost 7,000 jobs a year “over the lifetime of the research benefits”.
