Australian Research Council releases grant outcomes in error

Discovery Early Career Researcher Award results went online before researchers and research offices were notified

The Australian Research Council is investigating how details of A$93 million worth of grants were released online without warning on 23 August.

A list of approved projects and their National Interest Test statements for the 2025 Discovery Early Career Researcher Awards was posted on the ARC’s website before researchers or research offices had been notified and before the scheduled announcement date of 26 August.
