Federal grant supports spaceflight mission centre in Adelaide

Australian startup selected to set up centre for design, testing and support

Saber Astronautics, an Australian space engineering startup, has received a $6 million federal grant to create a satellite spaceflight mission control centre in Adelaide.

Jason Held, the company’s chief executive, said the responsive space operations centre would be the first of its kind in the world to use machine learning and 3D gaming technologies in spaceflight design, testing and support operations.
