Government funds industry research hubs at five universities

Centres will foster academia-business relationships and ‘find practical solutions to national challenges’

Australia’s federal government has allocated $25 million to the creation of five industry research centres that will tackle national challenges including waste management and energy storage technologies.

Five universities in three states have received grants of up to $5m to work with industry on research projects in areas such as advanced manufacturing, digital technologies and sustainability.
