Academics plead with health council to address structural barriers to hybrid careers
A bigger share of health research funding should go to practising nurses and midwives, a group of leading researchers has claimed.
In an article published in the Medical Journal of Australia on 7 November, researchers from several universities wrote that nursing was under-represented in public grant schemes. This is despite the fact that Australia’s nearly half a million nurses and midwives made up 57 per cent of all registered health professionals.
