Victoria state has secured the return of three scientists working overseas by offering them three-year, AU$450,000 fellowships, the Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business, Louise Asher, announced on 23 March.
The Victorian Endowment for Science, Knowledge and Innovation (VESKI) Fellowships are a government initiative to bring back successful Australian expatriates with excellent skills in science, innovative technology and design, the minister said in a statement. Part of the funding comes from the scientists’ host institution, she added.
