The government of Victoria has announced $16 million to support business innovation in its 2013-14 budget.
The money will be used to run a demand-driven grant programme through which businesses will develop innovative products and services for the public sector.
The budget contains an additional $200m to support innovation and structural reform at the state’s technical and further education colleges. Another $18m will go towards an international education strategy to help build Victoria’s position as a provider of higher education in the Asia-Pacific region.
