Australian start-ups to have ‘landing pad’ in Tel Aviv

Federal industry minister Christopher Pyne has signed a deal to help Australian start-ups connect with business investors in Israel.

Pyne met with Israel’s chief scientist and economy minister Avi Hasson in Tel Aviv on 15 December to discuss market and mentoring support for commercialisation of Australian research.

He announced that the two countries had signed an innovation partnership that will create “a landing pad” in Tel Aviv for Australian start-ups as part of the Turnbull government’s $1.1 billion innovation and science strategy.
