Hunt working on revisions to national science policy

Federal science minister Greg Hunt has hinted that universities and research institutes can expect “great change” to flow from government reforms to Australia’s science policies.

He also announced that the Turnbull government is “revising” research priorities for the troubled national science agency, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.

“The government will be developing a strategy for our science and research institutions, including CSIRO,” he told a meeting at the Australian Academy of Science in Canberra on 8 August.
