Morrison’s cabinet refresh is continuity over change

Prime minister Scott Morrison has made minimal changes to his cabinet, with most senior ministers keeping their pre-election portfolios.

Dan Tehan remains as education minister and Karen Andrews retains the science and technology portfolio, which includes the industry-led Cooperative Research Centres programme.

Ken Wyatt, who was previously aged care minister, becomes the first Indigenous MP to head the Indigenous Affairs portfolio. He has told journalists that one of his top priorities will be to improve access to education for Indigenous youth.
