Integrity agency to target cheating services and ‘essay factories’

   

Government steps up crackdown on contract cheating, foreign interference and academic misconduct

Federal education minister Dan Tehan has announced that the government will set up an agency with a $3.9 million annual budget to crack down on intellectual property theft, cheating and online “essay factories” at Australia’s universities.

Announcing the initiative on 24 June, Tehan said it would be “an agency that has teeth”.
