Inquiry hears of data shortage and lack of research into ongoing effects of virus

Leading researchers have told a parliamentary inquiry into long Covid that not enough is known about the condition in Australia, and that better data networks are needed. 

The inquiry into the impact of long-term and repeat coronavirus infections is run by the federal parliament’s standing committee on health, aged care and sport. A public hearing on the issue took place on 12 October.
