SKA bid strengthened by supercomputer purchase

The University of Western Australia has purchased a supercomputer enabling scientists to conduct high-powered data-intensive research, it was announced on 5 October.

The purchase of the Fornax supercomputer is part of an AU$80 million Australian government Super Science Initiative to strengthen Australia’s bid for the Square Kilometre Array (SKA).
