The average cost of publishing a research paper is around $45,000 for most Australian universities, according to Queensland data management company, Truii.com.
A study by Truii managing director and software developer, Nick Marsh (above, right), has analysed the cost of research publication for 41 universities.
It found the high-profile Group of Eight universities were “the least cost-effective publishers”, spending an average of $75,000 for each publication.
