Sydney’s public buildings, streets and office blocks will be mapped in three dimensions as part of a University of New South Wales project to improve the city’s safety.
UNSW has hired geospatial scientist Sisi Zlatanova from Delft University in the Netherlands to lead the urban mapping programme.
Zlatanova will set up the university’s first geospatial information research centre at the UNSW built environment faculty, and will work with city planners, architects and public safety organisations.
