Senate hearing reveals lack of clarity on how performance-based funding system will work

The federal government’s performance assessments of Australia’s universities are “unlikely” to be made public unless universities choose to make them available, a senior public servant has told a Senate hearing in Canberra.

Dom English, a higher education group manager with the Department of Education, told Senate estimates that publication had not been discussed with universities.
