University educators need support to overcome the ‘significant challenges’ of the switch to digital teaching
The success of online teaching in higher education partly depends on how academics feel about the experience, with close technical and personal support vital to abating anxiety about the change, according to research from Edith Cowan University.
Dawn Naylor from the university’s school of education and Julie Nyanjom from the school of business and law interviewed 20 academics from business, liberal arts, nursing and social work for the study, which is published in Higher Education Research and Development.
