Six Australian universities receive funding to develop local industry and research capacity

The Australian government has awarded grants through its Regional Research Collaboration Programme to universities in six states.

The A$20 million in funding is part of A$48.8m to be allocated through the programme, which is part of the National Regional, Rural and Remote Tertiary Education Strategy, over four years. All the funded projects have a focus on developing local industry and research capacity in regional areas.
