National network launches in Australia with A$5 million to seek diagnostic breakthroughs

An Australia-wide research network of early and mid-career researchers has been launched to target genetic diseases.

Perth’s Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research will join the University of Melbourne, the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and six other research bodies in the network, funded by the Medical Research Future Fund. The MRFF is a A$20 billion national initiative supporting Australian health and medical research.
