The European Commission has proposed to double the budget for agricultural research and innovation under the Common Agricultural Policy’s reform.
In a proposal presented on 12 October, the Commission says that these funds should amount to €5.07 billion between 2014 and 2020. The total proposed budget for the whole CAP is €440bn.
