JRC agrees on joint research with Brazil

The Commission’s Joint Research Centre and the Brazilian ministry of science, technology and innovation (MCTI) have signed a deal to collaborate more closely on research in crucial disciplines.

A letter of intent was signed by both parties on 4 October during the 5th EU-Brazil summit on global, regional and bilateral issues. The agreement proposes collaborations in several priority areas, including disaster prevention and crisis management, climate change and sustainable management of natural resources, energy, food security, biotechnologies, ICT and nanotechnologies.
