Public health needs a quarter of health research funding, say researchers

25 per cent of national and EU health research funding should go to public health research—up from 5 per cent now, a study recommends.

The report “Public Health Research—Europe’s Future” was presented at a public health conference in Bad Gastein, Austria, last week. It summarises the findings of a Framework-funded project called Strengthening Engagement in Public Health Research (Steps).
