Socialist rivals say where they stand on research

French news website EducPros has summarised the higher education and research policies of the two candidates remaining in the race to stand for the Socialist Party (PS) in the 2012 presidential election.

Martine Aubry, head of the PS, proposes reducing the number of mandatory teaching hours for teaching researchers from 192 to 150 and introducing a multi-year recruitment plan for higher education.
