A study analysing the performance of research clusters in eight northern European states claims that large clusters are better at supporting local industry.
The NGPExcellence—Cluster excellence in the Nordic countries, Germany and Poland project was initiated by the Danish Ministry of Research, Innovation and Higher Education with the assistance of the equivalent bodies in the seven neighbouring states. It benchmarked the activities of 140 cluster management organisations and carried out a detailed analysis of 16 cluster programmes.
