A survey of 15 to 24-year-olds in the EU has demonstrated a need to improve the image of vocational training. The Eurobarometer survey for the European Commission on attitudes towards training shows that older people see the importance to getting better jobs of training beyond the end of the compulsory education. However, only 27 per cent of the 15 to 24-year-olds would recommend taking up such training opportunities to their peers.
