Austria spends €40m on maths and science teaching

The Austrian government will spend an additional €40 million on improving science and maths teaching at universities, it was announced on 3 November.

The money will be spent in 2012 on teaching in maths, computer science, life sciences and technology courses. The Austrian education ministry said that it has chosen 78 projects at 18 universities that will share the funding.
