The European Commission seeks to lighten and improve EU regulations for micro-enterprises.
The Commission said it would try, whenever possible, to exempt businesses with less than 10 employees from EU legislation or introduce special regimes to minimise the regulatory burden on them, and involve them better in EU law making. The Commission also wants to draw up annual scoreboard to evaluate the benefits of EU policies for businesses.
